Tailored quote
Retainer pricing depends on the size of your team, the level of support needed and the amount of ongoing involvement required. If your business needs more frequent contact, more hands-on support or a broader level of ongoing help, I’ll always discuss this with you upfront and quote accordingly.
Payroll support can also be quoted separately depending on the size of your team and the level of support required.
I’m also a BreatheHR partner, so retainer support can include help using BreatheHR to keep employee records, absence and HR documents organised. Platform subscription is quoted separately.
What’s included
Retainer support is designed to give you regular access to practical HR guidance and routine support as things arise, without having to start from scratch each time. Depending on the size of your business and the retainer level agreed, support can include:
- Day-to-day HR advice and guidance
- Support with absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Drafting standard HR letters and routine documentation
- Employment law updates and practical guidance
- Ongoing document maintenance where appropriate
- Agreed check-ins and priority response for retained clients
Additional support available if needed
Retainers are designed for ongoing, day-to-day support rather than extensive casework or a high volume of hands-on work. Where more time-intensive support is needed, this can absolutely be provided, but may be quoted separately. This might include:
- Attending formal meetings such as disciplinaries or grievances
- Conducting investigations
- Extended on-site support
- Larger HR projects or more complex casework
- Support that goes beyond the usual scope of the agreed retainer
If anything falls outside of your monthly support, I’ll always be clear with you upfront and agree any additional costs before going ahead.
Ideal for
- Businesses with employees who need regular HR support
- Business owners managing people without in-house HR
- Businesses who want to stay compliant without having to keep up with changing employment law themselves
- Anyone who wants a trusted point of contact for day-to-day support
Payroll Support
Tailored payroll support for small businesses
Payroll support can be tailored depending on the size of your team and how much support you need.
Some businesses want help with the full payroll process, including timesheets, overtime, commissions, statutory payments and employee changes. Others simply need support with payroll processing, HMRC submissions and keeping everything running smoothly each month.
Payroll support can include
- Weekly or monthly payroll processing
- Timesheet or time and attendance processing
- Overtime, commission and pay adjustments
- Starters, leavers and payroll changes
- Statutory payments
- Pension administration linked to payroll
- HMRC submissions and year-end support
- Payroll administration and employee paperwork
Pricing
Payroll pricing is tailored based on:
- the number of employees
- payroll frequency
- whether support is needed for the full payroll process or only part of it
- the level of administration involved alongside payroll
If you’d like to talk through payroll support, get in touch and I can provide a tailored quote based on what your business needs.
Business & Admin Support
Flexible admin and back-office support for small businesses
Not every business needs another employee just to stay on top of the day-to-day. Business and admin support can give you an extra pair of hands when you need it — without the ongoing cost and responsibility of recruitment.
Some clients need regular help each week or month. Others need ad-hoc support with a particular task, project or busy period. Support can be shaped around what your business actually needs.
Business & admin support can include
- Inbox and diary management
- Invoicing and basic bookkeeping admin
- CRM updates and record keeping
- Document formatting, filing and organisation
- Meeting preparation and follow-up notes
- Email correspondence and client communication support
- Forms, templates and business paperwork
- Process reviews and general business administration
- Tender support and project-based admin work
Pricing
Admin and business support is priced according to the level of support required. This might include:
- ad-hoc support charged by the task or project
- regular monthly support based on agreed hours
- short-term cover during a busy period
- ongoing help alongside HR or payroll support
If you’d like to talk through business or admin support, get in touch and I can provide a tailored quote based on what your business needs.
Ideal for
- Business owners whose admin is starting to take over their working week
- Small teams who need support but don’t have enough work for a full-time administrator
- Businesses that need flexible help rather than a permanent employee
- Clients who want one trusted point of contact for HR, payroll and admin together
One-Off & Project Support
Flexible support for businesses who need help with something specific
Not every business needs ongoing support. Sometimes you just need help with one issue, one document or one specific piece of work.
One-off and project support is available for businesses who need practical help without committing to a retainer.
This can include
- Recruitment support, including help with job adverts, shortlisting and interviews
- Contract drafting or contract reviews
- Policy reviews and updates
- Handbook reviews or handbook rewrites
- New starter or onboarding documentation
- Training sessions
- Disciplinary or grievance support
- Workplace investigations
- On-site support where needed
- Other project-based HR support
Pricing
One-off and project work is priced according to the scope and level of support required. Fixed fees may be available for some pieces of work, and any costs will always be agreed upfront.
Not sure what you need?
That’s absolutely fine. Some businesses know exactly what support they’re looking for, while others just know they need a bit of help and want to talk it through.
If you’re not sure which option would be the best fit, get in touch and we can have a chat about what would work best for your business.
